Franz Josef is packed with things to do, and Orange Sheep is right in the heart of it all. Within minutes, you can be at the start of a glacier hike, relaxing in the hot tubs, viewing live Kiwi and Penguins, jumping out of a plane or enjoying dinner in the village.
Day trips are easy too — drive to Fox Glacier and take a walk around Lake Matheson, or head out to Okarito to catch the sunset on the beach. When you’re done exploring, you’ll come back to a peaceful base for a good nights sleep.
Guest Experience Comes First
At the heart of Orange Sheep is hospitality. We’re not a faceless chain — We care about making your stay special. You’ll usually be greeted by myself (the owner) and then there’s Stella our camp dog, who’s something of a camp mascot. She loves to greet visitors and always appreciates a pat.
